Predictive Monitoring Systems for Health and Usage Use of machine learning to develop predictive maintenance models to estimate the health index and remaining useful life of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Hybrid-Electric Aircraft (HEA) Performance through Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO)

Development of an automated optimization tool for the design and exploration of hybrid-electric aircraft (HEA), integrating sizing, mission analysis, and auxiliary systems. The project identifies the economic feasibility of HEA and the most suitable mission types for their operation, as well as the benefits of combining More Electric Aircraft (MEA) technologies with Hybrid-Electric Propulsion Systems (HEPS).
Vertiport and vertiport network operations and integration in Montreal mobility ecosystem using Digital Twins Development of a federated Digital Twin architecture that connects the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem, the City of Mirabel, and the YMX campus into a unified decision-support platform. The project includes the development of geospatial data integration tools, a real-time visualization dashboard, and simulation models to optimize eVTOL-based emergency response for medical emergencies, floods, fires, and industrial incidents.
Cybersecurity for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)

Development of innovative approaches to enhance the cybersecurity, resilience, and reliability of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM/UAM/EAM) critical infrastructure. The research focuses on integrating intrusion detection and diagnostics, cyberattack monitoring, resilient control recovery, and secure communication architectures. The objective is to create proactive and resilient solutions that ensure the safe and continuous operation of next-generation air mobility systems, even in the presence of malicious attacks or system faults, thereby strengthening the protection of strategic infrastructure in Quebec and Canada.

SDG INNOVATION NETWORK

Innovation SDG Network is a promising initiative for which the Quebec and Canada governments have expressed an interest. Faced with a growing need for organizations in terms of technological development and support in this digital shift, members of Innovation SDG Network consider that there is a need to support the university mission in this area, in collaboration with initiatives already in place such as ADRIQ, CRIQ, IVADO, ENCQOR.
