1st International Summit on Smart-Digital-Green Innovation – November 27, 2023 | Mulhouse, France

The 1st International Summit on Smart-Digital-Green (SDG) Innovation, held on November 27, 2023, in Mulhouse, was a resounding success. This launch event was co-organized by the founding members of the Quebec SDG Innovation Network, the international strategic community of GET Industrie, and Grand Enov+. Members from eight countries expressed their interest in participating in the summit, reflecting its global resonance. The 150 attendees, coming from diverse sectors, contributed to rich discussions that reinforced the international scope of the initiative. Participants represented the eight countries that signed the letter of intent to join the SDG International Community: Canada, France, Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam, Togo, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

This initiative aims to build a global coalition of academic and industrial partners working together to develop intelligent, sustainable systems aligned with society’s evolving needs and aspirations. It addresses the challenges of Industry X.0 while placing environmental and societal priorities at its core, striving to foster a smarter, more connected, and sustainable socio-economic future.

SDG International Mini-Summit – April 24, 2024 | Rabat, Maroc

The SDG International Mini-Summit, held on April 24, 2024, in a hybrid format across Marseille, Rabat, and Vietnam, was a pivotal follow-up to the international momentum launched in Mulhouse. This special session was organized as part of the IEEE-ICCITX.0 / SHeIC 2024 conference and brought together academic leaders and innovators from across the SDGi network. The summit opened with remarks from Prof. Samir Belfkih and strategic updates from the SDGi Steering Committee, Prof. Farouk Yalaoui and Prof. Hany Moustapha.

Country representatives presented the progress of SDG ecosystems in their respective regions, including Togo, Tunisia, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Morocco. Their presentations underscored the diversity and shared ambition of the SDGi community to build smart, digital, and green solutions for global challenges. The summit concluded with key announcements about upcoming activities and the launch of the SDGi website, reinforcing the commitment to global collaboration and knowledge sharing.

1st International SDG Conference – December 9–11, 2024 | Galala University, Suez, Egypt

The 1st International SDG Conference, held from December 9 to 11, 2024, at Galala University in Suez, Egypt, marked a significant milestone in the global effort to advance smart and sustainable innovation. Organized in partnership with the Third AI Sciences and Applications Conference and sponsored by IEEE, the event brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers from 10 countries.

Focused on cutting-edge themes such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and the Internet of Things, the conference showcased over 40 scientific papers, three expert panels, and keynote addresses from global tech leaders including Microsoft, IBM, and Siemens. The strong presence of Canadian institutions underscored the international nature and academic depth of the event.

This highly successful edition laid a solid foundation for future collaborations across continents, reinforcing a shared commitment to solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
